What Mars? Mela is around the corner….

We are overwhelmed by the response that we have got for the Diwali Mela in Aarhus. We have received record number of registrations and we look forward to a great evening. We already have an interesting lineup of food stalls and entertainment programs.

So what’s going to happen at the mela?

We have invited Charmilie Chandrabalan who will come with her troupe and give us a taste of Bollywood dance in Aarhus. She will also host a dance workshop and teach us few famous Bollywood moves.

Cheikhou Diarra from donaba.dk will come with his drummers and showcase the high spirited dance performance from Africa.

We have arranged a small bazar at the mela where one can buy Indian groceries at special prices.

There is no mela without good food, and the enthusiastic response that we got from people who want to set up food stalls at the mela means that there will be great opportunity to taste the food from different parts of India.

There is still room for a couple of food stalls. So if you are interested in showcasing your culinary skills then drop an email at anand@indiansinaarhus.com.

Are you creative and good at decorating your place? We could also use your skills at the mela. If you would like to help at the mela as a volunteer then write to us at contact@indiansinaarhus.com.
